Not everything has that happily ever after we dream up in our minds, but that’s part of life. We struggle with the way life changes, even if it’s for our own good or for the good of someone we love. Sometimes during life’s journey, someone just appears, unexpectedly, holds us close, makes us feel things we’ve never felt, guides us to the discovery of who we really are. Then just as unexpectedly, they disappear. I think anyone who opened their heart enough to love without conditions and subsequently were devastated by loss knows that in that moment you are forever changed; a apart of you is no longer whole.
